Tea-Infused Hot Chocolate

The holidays are a great time to try and enjoy new things.  I heard about tea-infused hot chocolate and thought, “Why not?”  Tea is such a wonderful drink and to be able to blend it with hot chocolate seems like heaven ->  a warm, decadent chocolate bar.

Now you don’t have to get all fancy with this, but you might want to think outside the teapot and explore some different flavors.  Mint, peppermint and cinnamon are a perfect pairing for a simple, yummy, down-to-earth drink.  For the more adventurous, brew up some green tea or maybe chamomille or chai and see what tickles your taste buds.

One question you may ask:  water or milk?  Both will work just fine, but milk will give a softer tea flavor than water.  Some teas,  like citrus tea or rosehip, might curdle milk  so be careful when steeping with milk.  I personally prefer my hot chocolate with milk because I love the creaminess, but use whatever you like and mix to your pleasure.
